Vision/Goal: To know Jesus as a friend, and to tell others about His Salvation message. This is so that they can begin a friendship relationship with Jesus and also with Church people. We want to help fill the void in peoples lives with the peace and hope of Jesus Christ.

The Angels of Faith is a Ministry for Women. Any Woman in the Church or Community is welcome to attend the meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Bible Devotion, talking, food, crafts, and service projects for the Lord are some of the activities.
Food and Fellowship: The Church offers a Brunch the first Sunday of each month. There is an annual picnic that has been held in various places such as Methodist Campgrounds, Hargis Lake, and the Oakland Church. Anyone in the Church or Community is invited to attend this food and fellowship.
Vacation Bible School is scheduled each Summer. A Church/Community Fall Harvest party is scheduled in October of each year. These events are for both Church people and Community people.
Stepping Stone Ministry: Kids attending the Oakland Methodist Church Sunday School and/or Worship are eligible to make handprint stepping stones. These are placed around the outside walls of the Church. Jesus is the cornerstone. Scripture on a Stone for starting Young Disciples 2011 stones: John 3:16, Luke 2:1-20, Mark 16:1-7, and Matthew 7:24-27
